No refunds or deferments of entry fees. Entry fees are non-refundable; race numbers and entries cannot be transferred to another person. No exceptions. This means once we have received your entry, you will not receive a refund if you cannot participate, and you may not give or sell your number or timing tag to anyone else. Anyone found participating with another person’s number will be disqualified and both people will be barred from future Morgantown Marathon events. Minimum age for Mountain Mama 8K: 6 on October 10th, 2021
Course Time Limits
City streets, police officers and support are contracted for specific times and cannot be extended. The following chart indicates road closure times per sector/mile and time limits per mile based on the time available for runners before the roads re-open. Some easy points to remember – all Full Marathon runners must be to the Morgantown High School in South Park by 10:20 AM and Half Marathoners must be at Mile 12, Van Voorhis/705, by 10:15 AM.
If you cannot adhere to the scheduled time/pace per mile listed on the schedule, you will be asked to board a sweep vehicle that will take you to relay shuttle drop off area at the Creative Arts Center, which is across the road from the finish line. If you refuse to get on the vehicle, you must move to the sidewalk so traffic can resume. If you choose to continue after the course has reopened to local traffic, there will be no medical support, fluid stations, or course marshals at intersections, and the course will no longer be marked. Participants after that time will not be guaranteed a time or medal.
The Morgantown Marathon has a zero tolerance drug policy.
Athletes who participate in Morgantown Marathon events may be subject to drug testing conducted by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). Athletes with positive drug test results will forfeit any prize money and will be disqualified from the event in which such athlete participated.
All finishing participants will receive a finisher medal.
